Secureworks Recognized as a Leader in European MSSP Evaluation by Independent Research Firm

Secureworks receives highest score possible in the AI, ML, and automation criterion.

LONDON, 21 November 2018 -- Secureworks ® (NASDAQ: SCWX), a leading global cybersecurity company that keeps organizations safe in a digitally connected world, has been named a ‘Leader' in The Forrester Wave™: Managed Security Services Providers (MSSPs), Europe, Q4 20181.

Secureworks was among the 14 select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its 2018 Forrester Wave 26-criterion evaluation of European managed security service providers. In this evaluation, the company's top scores were in the Business and Technical Value, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Automation, Reporting Capabilities, Service Provider Road Map, and User Experience Road Map criteria. Forrester states in the report, "Secureworks combines a market-leading portal with high quality threat research" and that, "Recent investments have resulted in a feature-rich portal that combines threat, vulnerability, and asset data with the ability for both the client and MSSP analyst to perform remediation, a differentiating feature."

In today's complex security operation, alert fatigue is common, in part because of an onslaught of automated attacks, a skills shortage and a lack of formal process for remediation. With millions of alerts per day and sometimes up to 50 layers of security in their stack, security teams are finding it increasingly difficult to make sense of what their tools are telling them in order to respond quickly to what's critical. By leveraging a platform that seamlessly blends machine and human intelligence, Secureworks experts help clients see more, know more and defend faster against cybercrime.

"Secureworks is pleased to be named a leader in Forrester's European MSSP evaluation," says Ian Bancroft, Vice President & General Manager, EMEA, Secureworks. "By automating remediation processes and applying our global threat research, we're focused on generating rich context that our clients can use to identify the threats that matter most, separating suspicious from malicious, to take the right action quickly, stopping threats in their tracks and effectively managing risk to the enterprise."

The ability to respond quickly and remediate at a greater scale is essential as organizations move into more digital transformations. According to Forrester's Now Tech: Security Automation and Orchestration, Q3 20182 report, "security teams are slow to detect and respond to security events – the median time to discover a breach in 2017 was 101 days – leaving systems vulnerable and giving attackers time to carry out a breach." Secureworks leverages automation to help clients detect more threats, gain a holistic view of the threat and business environment, and speed decision-making with improved workflows and orchestration.
