Secureworks Expands Partner First Strategy To The Middle East

Partner First GTM accelerates and enhances Secureworks collaboration with partners in order to deliver improved security outcomes for customers

DUBAI, UAE, June 15, 2023 – Secureworks® (NASDAQ: SCWX), a global leader in cybersecurity, today announced the expansion of its Partner First strategy to the Middle East. Effective from June 19, 2023, all new Secureworks Taegis™ business in the region will be sold in collaboration with strategic partners to empower organizations to make more informed cyber decisions that drive improved security outcomes and bolster their overall security posture.

Across the Middle East, Secureworks Counter Threat Unit™ observes that the top three cyberthreats to organizations are data theft, ransomware and business email compromise. As these attacks proliferate, businesses require a platform-based approach that acts as one ‘pane of glass’ to ensure they are best protecting themselves against an ever-evolving adversary. This requirement has seen significant demand for Taegis across the Middle East and Partner First is integral to scaling to meet that need.

Secureworks operates across the Middle East including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. With Partner First, the company is furthering its commitment to regionally strategic partners to capitalize on the growing market opportunity across the Middle East and expand its market share. Secureworks partners in the region will have access to sales playbooks, partner portal, training and Secureworks market intelligence as well as competitive discounts designed to provide industry leading margins.

“Organizations in the Middle East are challenged with defending endpoints, identity systems, cloud applications and beyond against a rising tide of cybersecurity attacks, both in terms of sophistication and frequency. To prevent and defend against these attacks, businesses are moving to a holistic, platform-based, approach to their cyber investments to drive valuable and tangible cyber outcomes for the business,” said Gopan Sivasankaran, Regional Director META, Secureworks.

“Partners are integral to our growth and scale as a company. We are committed to working together to enable partners to differentiate themselves and win deals. Working with Secureworks enables them to bring an open XDR platform architecture with AI and automation, fuelled by world class threat intelligence. Our Partner First strategy is the best of all worlds for our partners and our customers who can work with their trusted partners to best manage their cyber risk and invest where it matters,” concluded Sivasankaran.

A SaaS-based, holistic security solution, Taegis enables superior threat prevention, detection and unmatched rapid response. With its open approach, Taegis operates as the single pane of glass into an organization’s cyber environment, enhancing cyber readiness and delivering improved return on investment.

“We’ve been working with Secureworks for six years now and together we’ve seen phenomenal growth in the region. This is primarily driven by the company’s relentless commitment to innovating and evolving its Taegis platform to ensure that our customers are able to understand, detect and respond to the threat,” said Sajeev Perunnelly, Director Enterprise Computing, Alpha Data Dubai.

Announced in November 2022, Partner First will continue to roll out globally throughout 2023.
