On May 25th 2018 GDPR will become law. But that doesn’t mean you should leave it to your legal department. In this webcast, Katherine Fithen, Managing Principal Consultant at Secureworks, will discuss how GDPR should be a cross-functional effort.
She will introduce the GDPR cross-functional team including legal & compliance, security, IT, the business owner of the data (e.g., HR, Marketing, etc.), and your Works Councils. She will explain the roles of each member in achieving GDPR compliance, how they can work most effectively together, and how each department’s GDPR activities impact the behavior of the entire organization, from HR, to marketing, to finance.
With the right sort of consistent, unified, cross-functional approach, GDPR can act as a great driver for the entire organization to move to treating data processing in a transparent and accountable fashion.
