QSA audit now required by MasterCard for Level 2 Merchants

Via Andy ITGuy, MasterCard is now requiring Level 2 merchants to have an annual PCI audit by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA). Over at the MasterCard SDP site, they’veupdated their merchant level table to reflect the change.

I’m sure there is a handful of Level 2’s out there who are prepared and will be able to take this in stride. But for most Level 2’s, the PCI pool just got few feet deeper (and more expensive)…
